The Man called Bodeniyi

Oyebode Odeniyi (Bodeniyi), born in the 80’s, was the first of 6 Children to Chief S.K.A Odeniyi & Mrs Dorcas Odeniyi. His dad’s love for King Sunny Ade, Chief Ebenezer Obey, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Alhaji Ayinde Barrister and the all time great ‘Ron Kenoly’ has been a positive influence on the young Bodeniyi while growing up. At a very young age, he developed a huge interest for backing up songs and will go on to refer to “back-up” singers as the “ministry” that determines the success of an artiste.

Bodeniyi was a very active sportsman in school and at one point represented the Dinar Table Tennis club at the yearly Asoju-Oba Table Tennis Competition which held at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Hall, Rowe Park, Lagos where he finished as the first runner-up for the junior category in the competition. He gained massive support from top executives of the same event due to his outstanding performance and grew from being just a “street” table tennis player to professional competitions. These feats earned him a lot in terms of cash, gifts and other assistance which have helped Bodeniyi develop over the years into an active “solopreneur”.

Bodeniyi got admitted into the Trinity School of Music & Art, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where he obtained a certificate in Performance, and did a short course on Acoustic Engineering before finally relocating to Nigeria.

While in Asia, Bodeniyi was a “back-up” singer for the Malaysian Pop sensation ‘Lenny Lysandra‘, after Lenny Lysandra discovered his ability from being his vocal coach.

He has also opened the stage for many Nigerian acts invited for performances in Malaysia, some of which include Duncan Mighty, Tuface Idibia and Olamide.

Bodeniyi decided to learn more on the Guitar and enrolled in Tenstrings Music Institute where he completed a 6 months diploma. He also completed an OND in Business Studies at Lagos City Polytechnic, Ikeja.

He is currently the owner and founder of 3ple 0 Records and Chief Operations Officer for H.O.T (House Of Temfod “Fashion Mattaz”).

He founded 3ple 0 Records in 2015 and had since been the driving force for major background hits from the only Artiste signed to the label ‘Lyta’. 3ple 0 also currently manages an act, X-resonance Band.

Bodeniyi has since focused on just the business aspect of music much more than performances and he is a very successful entrepreneur in Nigeria due to his fearless, charismatic, patient, and resourceful nature.
